Subject: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac implications

With the largest lenders cracking yesterday and today and indicating that capital maybe an issue and that housing is expected to worsen into 2008, can the economy stay out of harms way? The dollar got whacked as did home builders. Any optimists out there?
